Victron Phoenix Inverter 12/800 120V VE.Direct NEMA GFCI (UL 458)

Victron Energy Phoenix inverters allow you to power domestic equipment that requires 120V AC using “leisure” or “automotive” batteries rated at 12VDC. The VE.Direct communication port on these inverters can connect to a computer (with a VE.Direct to USB interface cable) or to Apple and Android devices, tablets, and MacBooks (with a VE.Direct Bluetooth Smart dongle).

These inverters are fully configurable, allowing you to set low battery voltage alarm trip and reset levels, low battery voltage cut-off and restart levels, dynamic cut-off levels based on load, and ECO mode settings. They also offer comprehensive monitoring of in- and output voltage, load percentage, and alarms.

The inverters use a full bridge plus toroidal transformer topology, which has proven reliable over many years. They are short circuit proof and protected against overheating from overload or high ambient temperatures. They provide high start-up power for loads like LED lamp power converters, halogen lamps, or electric tools.

In ECO mode, the inverter switches to standby when the load decreases below a preset value (minimum load: 15W). While in standby, the inverter periodically switches on for a short time (default: every 2.5 seconds). If the load exceeds a preset level, the inverter stays on. A remote on/off switch can be connected to a two-pole connector or between the battery plus and the left-hand contact of the two-pole connector.

LED diagnostics are available, with details provided in the manual. For transferring the load to another AC source, the Filax Automatic Transfer Switch is recommended for low power inverters. It features a switchover time of less than 20 milliseconds, ensuring that computers and other electronic equipment continue to operate without disruption.
